You can't dance in mission bay

so last week i was in auckland to film a music video for NYC (You Can't Dance in New York City). a guy called Mark Prebble had contacted me because he wanted to get into making music videos and he made me a video for 'free' (of course there were still costs, but still damn cheap and he worked for free). the video involved me walking around a park playing my guitar while a mime tried to join my band by miming different instruments. it'll look a bit like the video to You Can Call Me Al, but with less chevy chase and more mime.

if you ever want to see the worst of humanity, walk down the street with a mime and watch children throwing things at him and run up to him to hit him, adults snicker and look away, and three different people asked me if the mime could really talk. maybe the mime can't talk, but people are dumb.

it all felt very odd, but i'm confident we got enough good footage for Mark to make a fun video. then we're hoping that the video will go viral on youtube - if i tell all my friends and they tell all their friends then before i know it 17 people would have seen the video.

I'll let you know when its finished.
