lots of das ben and plastic kitchen coming your way

Thursday September 1st 10pm The Plastic Kitchen and the Hi-Aces play Happy (cnr of Tory and Vivian Streets). The plastics have at least two new songs to showcase, and the hi-aces have a new (temporary) drummer.

Then, Friday September 16th 6pm Das Ben is back solo (almost), playing lots of songs from his CD (which is getting closer to release), as well as some new songs - The Das Ben Drinking Song and The Das Ben MTV Tounge Twister Song (which may be renamed 'Red Leather Yellow Leather'). Kali and Pete will both hopefully join me for some songs. The gig is at Indigo, and later on that night at Indigo is Ghostplane, Mestar, and The Shrugs - so come for the whole night.

Cooking time

Getting v excited about tomorrow night's Plastic Kitchen / Lahars gig at Blue Note Bar. It is quite a special feeling being in the greatest band of all time (for some reason people give me strange looks when i tell them that). Lahars will play at 10, Plastic Kitchen 10.45ish, and DJ Name mixing up some fine tunes in between and afterwards.

Jet Pack on the radio

2 weeks ago i sent copies of Jet Pack off to radio stations around the country. I just heard that i've been added to the RDU playlist in Christchurch. yay for RDU. but all BNET stations, and Kiwi FM have a copy of my song, so call them up and demand das ben...

Hi Aces

Stevie K just created a site for the Hi-Aces on NZ Music.com. i'm telling you this because firstly the hi-aces are great, and secondly because their band name is great, as a kid all our adventures happened in a hi-ace, and thirdly because on the page is this very cool ad for the hi-aces and das ben gig from last year and i wanted to acknowledge the source from whence i stole this image.
