Plastic Kitchen are go

From now on the history of rock and roll will be spoken of in terms of before the Plastic Kitchen and after the Plastic Kitchen. yep, we debuted last night at Indigo and music will never be the same again. With our low down dirty post punk early 80s new wave new york sounds and 'tude, rock and roll world domination can't be far off for the kitchen. our next gig is this saturday August 6 at the Blue Note, seeya there.

pics from last night's gig hopefully will be posted soon.

plus das ben solo(ish) gig 16 September Indigo Acoustic Lounge. hopefully both pete and kali will each join me for a few songs.

oh so much plastic

wow, we haven't even had our debut gig yet, and already we've got our second gig lined up. The Plastic Kitchen are coming to a Cuba St near you twice:

Indigo Acoustic Lounge 2nd Birthday Party - Friday July 29th - 7 bands, including Rico Suave, The Pete Baillie Experience (who will probably have a different name by then), Johnny Mills' band (who also have a name), plus others. and right bang in the centre of this line up is THE PLASTIC KITCHEN!. my very rough estimate is that we'll play at 10ish, but come for the whole night, and you'll have a good time.

And then the next weekend Saturday August 6th come see the Plastic Kitchen playing at The Blue Note - corner of Cuba and Vivian Streets. this gig will also be a birthday party for Cindy and for me. so it will be partylicious.

Meanwhile, today i posted out copies of Das Ben's first single - Jet Pack off to a bunch of radio stations around the country, so get on their phones and start requesting me.

Still can't dance in new york city

stevie k just sent me this link which tells the story of why you can't dance in new york city. i actually emailed these people a year ago to tell them about my song. don't know if they listened to it or not, but they certainly didn't reply to me.

btw, wednesday night i played at wellington's most ROCK venue, Valve. i opened for some band called Psionic who sounded rockalicious in the soundcheck, but i wasn't able to stick around for their full set. but pete baillie joined me on stage, playing second guitar on lots of my songs, he sounded great, and it was so much more fun having someone else on stage with me.

speaking of others on stage. The Plastic Kitchen are set to make our debut gig as part of the Indigo Acoustic Lounge super showcase 2nd birthday party (although we won't be acoustic). Indigo Friday July 29
